Kieran McKeown is an aspiring actor graduating from Performing Arts Studio Scotland. Most recently, he played Kost in Grandfathers, produced by Clara Bloomfield at the Traverse Theatre, an aggressive, misguided young man transformed into the perfect soldier. He was part of the chorus in Two Sisters, written by David Greig, where he played a teenager who interacted with the main cast.

Getting to know Kieran
1. Why did you want become an actor?
Acting is the only thing I’ve ever truly enjoyed doing everyday. The industry, the work, the passion, I love it all. Acting isn’t a job to me, it’s something I love doing everyday learning about the industry, meeting new contacts and experiencing new things. I’m so thankful that I’m able to call the thing I love doing every day my job.
2. Given the chance, which actor would you most like to work with?
Jensen Ackles, John Bernthal or Kathryn Newton, I honestly can’t chose between them.
3. If you could play any character from a tv series or film who would it be, and why?
I would love to play Lo’ak from the Avatar franchise. There is such a depth to the character. His character type is also some of the roles that I have played before. A close second would be either be someone in the Supernatural verse similar to Sam Winchester or someone like Frank Castle. Playing a badass like Frank or Sam is a goal I plan to achieve in the future.
4. What director, living or dead, would you most like to work with, and why?
I would love to work with James Cameron. That man has single-handedly changed how motion capture and underwater capturing works today. Working with James Cameron is also a goal I plan to achieve in my career.
5. What actor would play you in a movie?
I’ve been told a few times that I look like a younger Leonardo DiCaprio, so, probably a young DiCaprio.
