Who is Cheryl Blake?

Cheryl Blake understands something most people at Avalon Models don’t:

Influence isn’t about titles — it’s about timing.

Polished, observant and emotionally perceptive, Cheryl moves carefully through the company’s  shifting power structure. She rarely raises her voice. She rarely shows her hand. But she sees  everything.

 Where others react, Cheryl calculates.

Cheryl positions herself close to decision-makers — particularly Ethan —  offering support, in  sight and quiet reassurance. To some, she appears nurturing. To others,  ambitious. The truth  lies somewhere in between.

She believes stability matters. She believes Jason needs strength beside him. And she is not  afraid to protect what she thinks should be his.

By the season finale, Cheryl has done what many others couldn’t:

She has secured influence without ever appearing to chase it.

Underestimate her at your own risk.

Getting to know Cheryl

1. Why did you want become an actor?

Ultimately, to draw from my imagination and past experiences to create truthful and believable performances.  It’s good fun!

2. Given the chance, which actor would you most like to work with?

There are so many that inspire me but I will settle on the quirkiness and eccentricity of Helena Bonham Carter.

3. If you could play any character from a tv series or film who would it be, and why?

Can I cheat and name two? Firstly, playing “M” in a James Bond film and being feared and admired in equal measure, but at the same time loathed by spies and enemies.  I’d also love to play the character “Jackson Lamb” in the TV series Slow Horses.  What Gary Oldman has created in that character is astounding and it would be great fun.  I mean he’s brilliant and awful, usually in the same sentence!

4. What director, living or dead, would you most like to work with, and why?

I can’t really pick out one but to have the opportunity to work on set with any of the big Directors would be amazing.  Of course, I’d be terrified too!

5. What actor would play you in a movie?

Juliette Binoche in the film “Chocolate.  I just love that movie
