She feels more than she lets on

Played by

Anisah McDonagh

Anisah is an actress with a keen interest in emotive, personal  and imaginative pieces. She is 25 years old and works as a  model in the bridal industry while also working on filming    projects. She loves to act and bring characters to life, especially  in unique and fun projects. She is excited to be portraying Julie  Montogomery in The Living Years, and can't wait to share this  project.

Who is Julie Montgomery?

Julie Montgomery carries herself with composure — even when her world feels uncertain.

Intelligent, sensitive, and quietly resilient, Julie values respect and emotional honesty. She  doesn’t seek confrontation, but she also doesn’t tolerate being dismissed. Beneath her calm    exterior is someone deeply affected by the shifting dynamics within Avalon Models.

Julie believes in fairness. In loyalty. In the idea that people should mean what they say. But as  relationships evolve and workplace tensions rise, she is forced to confront the reality that not  everyone plays by the same rules.

Julie navigates disappointment, doubt, and the challenge of rebuilding  confidence. She doesn’t  shout her pain. She absorbs it. Processes it. Learns from it.

She may appear gentle. But gentleness should never be mistaken for weakness. Julie is not  easily broken — and once  she finds her footing again, she won’t be easily overlooked.

Getting to know Anisah

1. Why did you want become an actor?

I wanted to become an actor because I love film, TV and theatre. I would love  to be able to give a voice to stories that need to be shared in a way that so  many actors have in my lifetime, media is such a crucial part of all of our lives  and being able to be a part of expressing art and stories is a privilege. Truly I  love the art, the people and the craft.

2. Given the chance, which actor would you most like to work with?

Given the chance the actor I would most like to work with is James Macavoy,  he just seems to adore film making and the industry and seems like a great    character to work with. His recent directorial debut has added another  feather to his metaphorical cap and I would love to have the chance to chat  about his knowledge of the industry.

3. If you could play any character from a tv series or film who would it be, and why?

If I could play any character from a film or TV series it would be Yennefer in  the Witcher. She is a multi-faceted character, complex with a grip of darkness  and also a nurturing side. I think she would be very interesting to play and a  challenge.

4. What director, living or dead, would you most like to work with, and why?

If I could choose any director to work with it would be Peter Jackson, the Lord  of the Rings has been my most formative set of films throughout my life and I  truly love his passion for everything he creates.

5. What actor would play you in a movie?

I would absolutely love Florence Pugh to play me in a film- even though I  think colour blind casting would have to apply for this! She is an                      incredible actress and it would be an immense privilege to have someone  so  talented portray my story.
