Who is Robby McKay?

Robby McKay is the steady presence in a room full of ego and ambition.

Warm, loyal, and instinctively protective of those closest to him, Robby operates from the heart  rather than the head. He doesn’t crave power or control — he values connection, trust, and  honesty.

In a workplace where rivalries simmer and alliances shift, Robby becomes the emotional bridge  between friends. He checks in when others don’t. He notices when someone’s struggling. He  believes loyalty still means something.

 But loyalty isn’t always simple.

Robby finds himself navigating complicated territory — friendships under pressure, romantic  uncertainty, and the growing awareness that staying neutral isn’t always possible.

He may not chase conflict. But when pushed, he won’t disappear quietly.

Character Quotes

"Office job by day, family crisis centre by night - not exactly in my job description."

"Loyalty is my choice, not my weakness."

"People think I don't care because I'm quiet. They forget the quiet ones see everything - the cracks, the alliances, the lies."

Getting to know Harvey

1. Why did you want become an actor?

Ever since I was little I've wanted to be an actor. I love preforming as a character. Bringing a person to life who once was just an idea on a sheet of paper, With The Living Years I'm making that happen!

2. Given the chance, which actor would you most like to work with?

Paul Dano. Working with him in a production would be a non stop acting lesson, I feel like I would learn so much from him. I belive that a lot of Paul's characters can only ever be preformed by him due to his own unique acting style.

3. If you could play any character from a tv series or film who would it be, and why?

Dr. Who. I've always been a big fan of Dr. Who so acting as the Doctor would be the best... and I think it would be a whole lot of fun too! With the sonic and running around in the TARDIS would a be a dream come true.

4. What director, living or dead, would you most like to work with, and why?

Besides Brain Whiteman it would have to be Wes Anderson. If I ever act in a Wes Anderson movie I don't think I would ever stop talking about it. He has created so many phenomenal movies. His unique cinematography makes his films something truly special.

5. What actor would play you in a movie?

I've been told Michael Cera could play me in a movie. However I would want a young Brad Pitt to act as me!
